PEDAGOGICAL ASPECTS

A series of pedagogical lines at different levels, with different purposes and formalizations that can be detached in two main lines:

To develop a space for independent work with regard to the rest of the activities, where a program that takes into account the needs of the educative sector is carried out, and that allows and induces reflection on the situation of its own objectives. Some conferences, publications and experiences –isolated or permanent- will be organized in order to secure these intentions, bringing together the professionals connected to this field with the aim to create some teams for research and development.

To develop an investigation method that builds a bridge between the world of education and contemporary art. Teamwork with all the teachers in the area will be promoted and learning communities will be generated (school, familiar and social surroundings). We will try to connect them to the Centre de Recursos Pedagògics (Center of Pedagogical Resources) and with the Institut de Ciències de l'Educació (Institute of Educational Sciences). Artists, teachers and educationalists will form the teams.

To complement each and every one of the activities carried out in the program Priorat Centre d'Art and that will be gradually developed following a schedule. The subjects we have worked on will be critically reconsidered instead of in a disciplinary way, in order to allow the introduction of methodologies, languages, concepts and contents that are typical of contemporary culture. We will focus on an audience with different ages and levels and we intend to provide them with an approach to both contents and artistic practices.

As it is a project with continuity instead of some specific and isolated experiences, we have decided on a sedimentation process that will accumulate the educative experiences. The sediments will become a reference to new contributions.

The generated pedagogical materials will be propagated by means of editions, audiovisuals, talks, workshops, etc.
